Hi guys! Hope you had An amazing weekend. Did you enjoy the rainy weekend or it interfered with your owambe plans? Well, whatever the case may be, we are sure you enjoyed it.

We had a few hitches here and there so we were not able to post our usual couple of the week on Friday, but hey, better late than never!

Start this new  week with your heart giggling to the love story of Oyinkan and Tolu.

 Introduce Yourselves

We are Dr Tolu Femi-Oyewole and Dr Oyinkansola Fafowora.

What’s Your Relationship Status? (Single, Married, Living Together, Engaged etc):

We’re Engaged

Where and How Did You Meet?

We met in medical school back in 2014. Tolu was a final year medical student at that time and I had just crossed over to clinical school. I had seen him  around once or twice and I thought to myself that he was a good looking young man. Apparently, he had his eyes on me too. lol. He had spoken to a few friends about his intention to ask me out and they had discouraged him saying that I looked too high maintenance. lol. He sha disregarded them and took his chance and the rest is history.

When Did You Know You Were In Love?

Oyinkan:  It was a gradual process for me. I knew for sure that I was in love with him when my day became incomplete if I hadn’t seen or heard from him. we became an item. lol.

Tolu:  It was more of a decision. I had been in a couple of failed relationship and so I was determined to make this work. I knew Oyin was the one so I had to make sure I showed more patience and understanding.

What Makes You Both A Perfect Match?

We are like 5 and 6. We know each other so well… our likes and dislikes. Patience and Understanding is everything and we have that.

What pet names do you call each other?

Oyinkan: I call him Tee or babe

I call her my “ Asaba Colour”  or Yin. loool.

What challenge(s) have you have faced as a couple and how did you get through it?

Oyinkan: Challenges are inevitable. The magic is in understanding this fact and purposing in your heart to work through it

Share the most memorable moment you’ve had as a couple

Tolu: We have a couple actually but I cant forget our proposal. it was so special and had every detail just the way I would have wanted.

Tell us about the low moments you’ve had as a couple

Oyinkan: it has to be when I moved out of Ibadan and Tolu moving to Lagos. We don’t get to see each other so much anymore and its a bit of a challenge

If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourselves when you just started dating?

We’ll be more open and sensitive. Lay everything out from the beginning.

Is there anything you both would like to improve on as a couple?

We are definitely still working on our patience and understanding.

What advice would you give to young couples out there?

Love is a decision more than it is a feeling. Decide to be there for each other, understand each other and be sensitive. communication is Key. Your partner isn’t psychic so don’t expect them to read your mind.
