Monday FAB Crush: Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD)

Richard Mofe Damijo popularly known as RMD is a famous Nollywood actor, director, producer, investor, politician and a philanthropist. He was born on 6thJuly 1961 in Aladja community of Udu Kingdom in Warri, Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria. He completed his primary school education in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate.

After completing his primary school education, he proceeded to Midwest College in Warri and later completed his secondary school education in Anglican Grammar School in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate. During his secondary school days,  he was actively involved in drama and performing arts. He was a member of a Drama Club in his school.

After completing his secondary school education, he proceeded to University of Benin in Edo State, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts. He went further to University of Lagos to study Law and later graduated in 2004 with a Master’s Degree in Law. After completing his tertiary education, he initially worked as a famous Nigerian journalist and was popularly known as MEE.

He later quit the media job and joined nollywood and acted in his first television soap opera “Ripples” which brought him to fame.

In 1996, he married to his long time girl friend Mary Ellen Ezekiel. The marriage later ended after her death. In 2000, he got married again to Jumobi Adegbesan and the marriage is currently blessed with beautiful kids.

The veteran actor has acted in more than 200 Nollywood movies which include The Wedding Party, Diamond Ring, The Messenger and others.
