Co-sleeping essentially means sleeping in close proximity to your child. It may be in the same bed or just in the same room. Some ways of co-sleeping that different families use are: Bed-sharing/Family Bed: Parent(s) sleep in the same bed with the child.
Am wondering,,,, i used to think its more common among Africans but it seems that other nationalities also co sleep. If you ask most couples especially nursing mums, they co sleep because of nursing and baby feeding.
Sometimes while feeding you are just too tired and its easy to lie on the bed with the baby and feed.. Though some doctors will say its not safe but if you ask most nursing mums, they sleep but still very conscious of their little one by them.
