Hi. My name is Nnenna, the Naijafoodmistress. I am all about discovering, understanding and celebrating Naija delicacies.
I own and run a Food company which specializes in Nigerian dishes just the way you want it. Please follow and like us on IG and fb @azurefoods and @familyaffairsblog
Today’s weekend menu to be enjoyed by family members is Naija Special Pepper Sauce,
2. Fresh Pepper ( scotch bonnet/ata rodo)
3. Bell Peppers ( red, yellow, green) as much you would love
4. Fresh Tomatoes
5. Groundnut Oil
6. Knorr Cubes
10. Fried Chicken ( or Protein of choice)
Blend the scotch bonnet pepper, and set aside. Dice all the other peppers, set aside. You can cut some of the peppers in long slices for garnishing. Cut onions and set aside too.
Heat a little oil on a sauce pan. Add the onion. Fry for about a minute or two. Add the fresh tomatoes and the blended pepper and cook for about 10mins. Add the rest of the peppers and allow to cook for about 5mins
Check that the water has dried off so your sauce is no longer watery.
Add Knorr and salt if you want.
Add a little chicken stock of you desire
Add your already fried or cooked Chicken ( I prefer fried) into the sauce and cover to simmer on low heat for about 10mins.
Turn off heat and garnish with the rest of the peppers.
The taste is divine! Try it. In addition to using this for your chicken, you can use it to eat Rice, Yam etc. You can also sauce Beef, Goat Meat etc in it
