Toolz was born on July 6 in Lagos, Nigeria. Her parents are part of the famous Oniru Royal family of Lagos State. She had her primary and secondary education in Nigeria before relocating to study at City of Westminster College.
Toolz graduated from London Metropolitan University with a degree in Business and Mass communication. Before she moved to Lagos in mid-2008, she worked with MTV Europe and Walt Disney Pictures in the United Kingdom. In 2009 she auditioned to be a radio presenter at the Beat 99.9FM after a friend mentioned the new radio station to her before she moved to Lagos. In 2012, Toolz approached the organizers of Nigeria’s biggest music awards ceremony – The Headies (formally known as the Hip Hop World Awards) and introduced a new category called the ‘Rookie Of The Year’ which gives recognition to talented upcoming Nigerian musicians.
Toolz has served as a judge for the Channel O Music Video Awards both in 2011 and 2012. In April 2013, Toolz was chosen to be the host of X Factor West Africa. Toolz who also hosts ‘The Juice’ by NdaniTV which airs on Africa Magic Entertainment interviews popular African entertainers like Yvonne Nelson, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Davido, Rita Dominic. Toolz appeared on the cover of numerous Nigerian magazines such as This Day Style, TW, Complete Fashion (twice), YNaija! Magazine, Allure and My Streetz..
She got engaged to her man, Tunde Demuren on May 25, 2015 in Punta Cana. They eventually tied the knot in 2016 in Dubai and Lagos.
