Nigerian Salads can be substantial meals on their own. Some of them are also used as the perfect side dish to all recipes. But how about adding a twist to your salad by including suya in it? It’s simply adding all the vegetables that go well with suya right in one plate.
The good thing about this salad is that you’re not restricted to chicken alone. You can use Fish, Beef, Pork, you name it!

Another amazing thing about this dish is that you shouldn’t restrict yourself with quantities of the ingredients. Feel free to vary the quantities of the vegetables.
Long pieces of Chicken Suya is advised for this salad so they can bend well in the arrangement. Before you make the Chicken Suya Salad, make sure you rinse all the vegetables thoroughly. You don’t want a case of food poisoning so it’s better you rinse with salt and warm water to ensure al germs are totally gone.
Another option is to chill the vegetables in the fridge before making the salad then use hot chicken suya. By the time you are done, the vegetables will still be cool while the suya will be hot. The combo of warm chicken suya and the cold/cool vegetables is great for your tastebuds.
Serve with a chilled drink or as a side dish to Jollof Rice, Coconut Rice, Fried Rice and other Nigerian rice dishes. This food is very easy to make as it relatively takes thirty minutes or less to prepare. It’s a good dinner option, especially if you need to fix something fast.
P.S: Don’t add too much pepper because your kids might not like it. Add a reasonable amount of pepper.
