Agogun lekan Alabi: Oloye ‘Lekan Alabi, Agba Akin Olubadan of Ibadanland, journalist, author, PR consultant and motivational speaker is a senior traditional chief of Ibadanland, Oyo State.
He was born on 27th October, 1950 to the late Pa AbdulRahim Oladosu Alabi, alias “Right Time” of Oyetunji Olundegun Family of Ile Oye, His mother, Mopelola, hails from Oshotun Chieftaincy Family of Idamudu, Emure-Ekiti, Ekiti State
He attended 7th-Day Adventist Primary School, Oke-Foko, Ibadan (1958-1963) and was class captain from Pry 2 to Pry 4,School Mailboy in Pry 5 and the School Headboy in his final year.
He attended African Church Grammar School, Apata-Ganga,Ibadan (1964 to 1969). He was a village school teacher at St John’s Anglican Primary School, Ibadan (1971), pioneer Editorial Assistant, Onibonoje Press Ltd. Ibadan (1972), reporter/writer/reader/columnist with Sketch Press Ltd, Ibadan (1973 to 1976).
He joined the former NTV (now NTA, Ibadan) in 1978, after graduating from the famous College of Journalism, Fleet Street, London, UK. He was a pioneering staff of the former Television Service of Oyo State (TSOS) now BCOS-TV, Ibadan in 1982, from where he was seconded as a press secretary to the late Governor ‘Bola Ige of old Oyo State in 1983.
Alabi served three military successors of Ige (retired Maj-Gen. Oladayo Popoola, retired Bri-Gen Adetunji Olurin and the late Brig-Gen.Sasaenia Oresanya) from 1984 to 1989.
He was appointed the pioneer Public Affairs Manager of ODU’A Inv. Co. Ltd on August 7th, 1989 and retired voluntarily from ODU’A as the pioneer GM, Corporate Affairs, in 2006.
Agogun lekan Alabi: Alabi is a Trustee of Yusuf Olatunji Foundation, Adekunle Fajuyi Foundation, D.O Fagunwa Foundation and Chairman, Adegoke Adelabu Foundation. He was conferred with Doctor of Letters honorary degree by Achievers University, Ondo State in 2013.
Alabi got married to Adetokunbo (nee Laditan) at St John’s Ang. Church, Hampstead, London, UK on August 12, 1978.They are blessed with four children and grandchildren. His hobbies are travelling, meeting people and listening to music.

1. What is your passion and what keeps you going?
My passion is quality delivery on time and at reasonable cost.
Have a good vision, get mentors/role models and work, pray and play.
To me success is personal satisfaction, chivalry and submission to God.
As a parent, educating the children religiously, academically, morally and culturally.
Advising on choice of career, but not dictating what career.
